A road in Cannock town centre will be resurfaced this weekend thanks to a £60,000 investment.
Park Road, which connects the A34 Ringway with Old Penkridge Road, will be resurfaced overnight on Sunday. In order for the work to be carried out safely and as quickly as possible, a full closure will be needed between 7.30pm on Sunday August 20 and 6am on Monday August 21. A signed diversion will be in place at this time.
Staffordshire County Council’s cabinet support member for highways and transport Helen Fisher said:
Park Road is an important town centre link and we’re pleased to see its improvement as part of our wider package of highways works across the county. We’ll be carrying out the works overnight on Sunday so it’s done as quickly as possible to minimise disruption. If anyone is planning to travel in this area after 7.30pm on Sunday we’d ask them to allow some extra journey time. We’d like to thank people for bearing with us while work takes place.”
