Staffordshire ventilation company secures new blue-chip contracts after funding boost

A growing company specialising in mechanical design and ventilation services has won new blue-chip contracts after securing funding from the Staffordshire Business Loan Fund.

Mech Tech Midland Ltd, based at Chaseview, Cannock Chase Enterprise Centre, secured a loan to help it win several new contracts from major companies such as HMRC and Rush Hair and Beauty.

The company was recommended to contact BCRS Business Loans, who deliver the Staffordshire Business Loan Fund in partnership with Staffordshire County Council.

Robert Ward, Director of Mech Tech Midland Ltd, said:

“We required growth funding to be able to employ an additional six members of staff to work on the new contracts and also purchase new equipment and materials.

“We were established in 2015 and have gone from strength to strength ever since. We offer the full package for the mechanical and electrical sector; the installation, service and maintenance of air conditioning, heating, installation and plumbing systems,” said Robert.

The Staffordshire Business Loan Fund supports the growth of viable businesses across Staffordshire, offering loans from £10,000 up to £50,000 over a 3-year term. This funding initiative is delivered by BCRS Business Loans and run in conjunction with Staffordshire County Council.

Andrew Hustwit, Business Development Manager at BCRS Business Loans, said: “

“We are delighted to have been able to support Mech Tech Midland Ltd.’s growth objectives. Securing such high-profile contracts with some very large, respected companies is the sign of a very bright future.

“BCRS Business Loans believe in supporting viable businesses in Staffordshire and right across the West Midlands and, ultimately, our aim is to leave no viable business unsupported. With no early repayment fees and a relationship-based approach to lending, this loan fund is a great opportunity for growing businesses”

Staffordshire County Council’s economic growth leader Mark Winnington said:

“It is pleasing to see another small business in the county benefitting from our business loan scheme – enabling it to expand its operations and take on an additional six employees.

“The fund has been a huge success in Staffordshire and the results speak for themselves. It has achieved exactly what we wanted it to – namely enabling businesses to grow by overcoming access to finance issues. Small companies are still facing difficulties in accessing funding despite having strong business cases and that is where our fund has been making a difference.”
