Staffordshire County Council Offices
Staffordshire County Council is to reduce the number of directors in its senior leadership team.

Could you be a county councillor?

Potential candidates for this year’s county council election can get an insight into how the authority works at an open day this month.

Three sessions will be held on Tuesday March 28 in County Buildings, Martin Street, Stafford, giving candidates information on how the council works and the support on offer. County council officers will be on hand to give guidance on how the use of technology will be fundamental to the role, how scrutiny works and the Staffordshire Local Community Fund.  In addition there will be information on training and support, the civic role and different county council areas.

There will also be the opportunity to see and try out the technology used in the council chamber and have a guided tour of the historic County Buildings. Sessions will run from 1pm until 3pm, 3pm until 5pm and 5pm until 7pm.

Anyone who wants to book a place on one of the sessions should contact Lynne Coates at: lynne.coates@staffordshire.gov.uk
